Fall winter 2023/24 fashion trends
The Fall Winter 2023-2024 Fashion Month showcased the finest of fashion from New York, London, Milan, and Paris. While the Fall Winter 2022-2023 and Spring Summer 2023 seasons paid homage to the 2000s and the (infamous) style experiments of this fashion decade, Fall/Winter 2023-2024 returned to the very essence of fashion with even more refined desires, celebrating freedom of movement while remaining true to the spirit of the time. The collections remained focused on daily wear, but the informal, utilitarian, and technical items were no longer included. These were replaced with a sleek attitude, especially for evening attire. In terms of color, beige, in all of its subtleties, promised elegance, whilst sorbet-colored colors added a welcome injection of vitamins to the winter collections, making them even more stylish (and happy) than before.
A summary of fashion trends from the Fall-Winter 2023-2024 Fashion Week:
Skirts worn over pants
Although 2000s trends seem to be receding from the catwalks, a last style manifestation has persisted for the sake of nostalgia for this iconic fashion decade. At Fendi, Givenchy, and Chanel, skirts were placed over trousers with similar colors and tones.
Neckties
It was worn in a number of ways, including a tuxedo at Dolce & Gabbana and a shirt with a skirt at Dior and Valentino. The tie was also used in a variety of other arrangements.
Short shorts.
Short shorts, or underwear? It didn't matter as long as the lengths were micro-short and exposed plenty of leg. The adaptability of shorts was shown at Miu Miu and Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood and Ferragamo, ranging from athleisure to office wear.
Neo-bouquets
We've gone a long way from the extravagant and gigantic blooms we saw last season. Prada, Lanvin, and Chanel showcased tiny, stitched, or fastened 3D flowers, providing the appearance of a lyrical bouquet.
Graphically sculpted shoulders.
Graphic shoulder patterns at Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen, and Bottega Veneta accentuated the face and added rhythm to winter outfits, suitable for both day and nighttime use.
Pretty neckerchief
Balenciaga, Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, and Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood showcased a romantic take on the tie trend, with extravagant volumes and matching shades.
